Alec 18 Months

My little stud is 18 months!
(the lens on my good camera is broken, so until I get that fixed, the pictures in my next few posts will most likely be with my cheap camera)

Weight 22 lbs , 8%
Height 31 3/4 , 50%
Head 19 1/4 , 90%

Alec has really developed his OWN STRONG personality. He is charging all over the place and will throw a royal fit if you try to hold his hand or direct him, try to feed him food, basically anytime you try to get him to do anything. He is most definitely the master of his own destiny. (I think I may have to start reading up on how to parent a strong-willed child)

He is still obsessed with balls. He loves to ask you to play catch. He has quite the arm on him and he can actually catch a ball that is thrown to him. He loves to be tackled, so he and his Daddy are in 7th heaven!
Now that he is walking, running, throwing tantrums and eating animal crackers he actually seems like a toddler!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Yesterday we took Alec downtown to see his first Rockies vs Dodgers baseball game at Coors Field.

Yes, I am at it again...Scott and Alec are in matching outfits.

As you can tell by this photo, we sat in the nose bleeds. We didn't mind it much, I was able to stretch my pregnant legs out on the empty seats around me, and Alec was able to run around a little bit.

I wish I had pictures of Alec once we were inside of the park. But the strangest thing happened, my camera would not take pictures of faces. Very weird, I still can't figure it out. But he was LOVIN' life! It may have been something to do with the fact that he downed half of Scott's dipp-in-dots and was on somewhat of a sugar high. He was jumping up and down, cheering and booing with the crowd, and he also managed to flirt with his new friend Sophia.

Oh yeah, and the Dodgers won.

Tourists- Broncos Training Camp

Today we took advantage of living in the Mile High City and headed to Dove Valley where the Broncos hold their training camp.

All geared up and ready to go.

We arrived just in time to judge who we thought was the better QB.

Kyle Orton #8?

or

Tim Tebow #15?

Scott would say without a doubt Kyle Orton.

Alec was a tougher sell, but in the end, I think he sided with his Dad and went with Kyle Orton.

Alec's favorite player, Champ Bailey, making an interception in the end zone.

Go Champ! Alec cheered right along with the crowd the entire 2 1/2 hours.
I couldn't tell if Scott was more excited from watching football, or from watching Alec watch football.
I think it was the later.

We made sure to take lots of water breaks. We didn't want our little football fan to get over heated.
He is currently obsessed with our Camelback's.

Scott was able to meet Kyle Orton and also got his autograph.

Our future football star. He was DYING to get out on that field!

Until then, I will savor him as my sweet little baby who needs naps on the way home!

Entry Way

These stools are so that people have a place to sit to take OFF their shoes when they come in, hint, hint.

This cabinet is great. The first row opens up individually and the rest swings open, which is the perfect place for us to keep our shoes.

I am so happy with this mirror...now I only need to fill those book cases in the living room.

Entry way rug that matches the family room rug.

I am in l.o.v.e. with this chair. It was a steal from Arhaus Furniture, and is surprisingly comfortable.

It is much too big of a project for now, but one of these days I am going to get lamp shade sconces on either side of the mirror, with the cords "hiding" inside of the wall.

Family Room

We've been in our house for 2 months now. The decorating is slowly coming along. The OCD part of me just wants to get everything completely done asap. To me, having undecorated space is like having dirty dishes in the sink, it eats at me! However, I know that if I just slow down, take my time, and buy the quality items that I really want, I will be much happier in the long run.

I am attempting to have a light, white, clean airy feel throughout the main floor.
In order to accomplish this, I started off by getting rid of all of our old furniture, minus the couches. (I would love nothing more than to have white linen slip covered couches. But the practicality of dark leather won out). Instead I tried to buy as much white/light "stuff" as I could.

All the pillows along with white linen drapes came from Pottery Barn.

These cable knit down pillows are so cozy!

This coffee table came from Pottery Barn along with the rug. At the risk of being redundant, EVERYTHING that I purchased came from Pottery Barn. Not very creative, but I love their style, and I wanted some continuity throughout the house. For the quality I felt they had fair prices.

This clock has really grown on me, it was surprisingly difficult to find a white/light clock.

I LOVE this picture! This was the first large picture of Christ that I purchased. I bought this one about 3 years ago. It is amazing, the second that this picture is hung in a room the entire aura of the room changes. I love it!

I am not sure what to do with the nooks in the built-in. I hate clutter, so I am having a hard time filling it.
