Easter

Easter was pretty low key being that we just got home from our trip the night before. Alec LOVED what the Easter Bunny brought him. A football basket, and the ultimate bouncy ball.

This little guy loves balls! He has been chasing this thing around the house ALL day every day for the past week.
He says BALL at least one hundred times a day.

Aren't little crawling bums just the cutest?

His hair is having a bit of an identity crisis. Some days it flips and curls in the back, other days, well it just looks neglected and matted.

Besides chasing around his bouncy balls, he has taken it upon himself to "help" mommy by ripping down the towels whenever they are "out of place", hanging neatly on the oven.

Anytime time he does anything, he always looks to me for affirmation. Melts my heart!
I'll take that sweet help anytime!

Playa Del Carmen

Scott and I were lucky enough to be able to get away for the week.
Destination? Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

While it was nerve racking to leave Alec, we knew he was in good hands with his Grandma Irene.
It obviously didn't take us long to get comfortable.

We stayed at an amazing resort.

Our room was right off the beach, so all we had to do was walk down this path to get to the ocean.

Silly me, I am prancing around in my bikini in almost ALL of our pictures, so they won't be making an appearance. Why I even take those pictures, who knows? Next time I will make sure to take some in my cover-up.

Handsome Hubby

Okay, I have to sneak in this one picture just to remember how amazing the pool was! I will say that we felt a little jipped being that it was an all inclusive resort, including alcoholic beverages. We tried to get our money's worth and ordered as many virgin pina coladas as we could handle.

This little floater and I became the best of friends! (yes, that is a swim up bar in the background)

Yummy dinner every night.

After laying out here and baking in the sun the first few days,

these became much more appealing.

We ventured out from the resort for breakfast one morning at this DELICIOUS restaurant called Del Queva El Changa (the cave of the monkeys). We lived at this place the last time we were in Mexico, so we had to make a visit.

It did not disappoint. My Chicken Chile Crepes were just as scrumptious as I remembered.
And so was Scott's....I have no idea what his dish was...heart attack on a plate????

This trip couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Just two weeks before we left, we found out that this vacation was going to be a ....

We couldn't be more excited! This little surprise will be joining our family on Thanksgiving Day!

Any Cuter?

I've restrained myself from matching Scott and Alec for quite some time...at least 3 months.
But when I discovered that there was a JCrew with a CrewCuts inside, I just couldn't help myself.

I can't decide who is cuter! I also can't decide who Alec looks like.
While I don't think that he really looks like Scott or myself, I do think that he is ALL Smith.
(that's ok, as long as he gets the athletic Miller gene)

St. George

Conference weekend my sisters and I left our families behind and headed to St. George.
The occasion? My mom and Reed got sealed in the St. George temple.
It was such a special weekend, I am grateful that we were all able to be there to share it with them.

Momma bear with all her kids. I just love 'em all...even Ben.

Amy, Kim, Mom, Ben and Heidi.

The Girls

We stayed at this adorable historic bed & breakfast called Green Gate Village.
We happened to get Parley P. Pratt's old home.

I couldn't get enough of this lovely piece. No, really.

There were little gems all over this place!

Any time I go to complain that I don't have a double oven, this will remind me that

It. Can. Always. Be. Worse.

Yummy breakfasts served every morning at 8.

There's nothing like a morning run with the sisters.

So glad to see this lady this happy!

Directly next door was the cutest vintage candy & ice cream shop.

Kim did a sprint triathlon. We dragged ourselves out of bed to cheer her on.

So proud of Sissy. She finished 2nd out of all the women and placed 1st in her age group.

We had a girl's night out while the men were at the Priesthood Session for conference.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was the late evening walk around the temple.
The warm weather with the warm breeze made for perfect walking conditions.

Considering all the activities and all the different families that traveled, the weekend couldn't have gone more beautifully!
We are now just one big happy, non-traditional, Mormon family!
