Last weekend Scott flew out to Nashville where he received an award for being a top producer in his company. I won't mention what number achiever he was...out of 3,200.

While Scott said it was nice to be recognized for his hard work, the real highlight of the trip was the bbq tour.

I am so grateful for such a hardworking husband that happens to love his career as a financial adviser...almost as much as he loves his role as a husband and father. (a little cheesy? maybe. but true.)

Color

I finally added some fun color to our mainfloor bathroom. I am so Plain Jane, so for me this is color overload, and I LOVE it.

The color of the vase is much prettier in person. The flower is more of a deep coral than a red.

While you were working...

I have decided to start a new section in the blog called,
"While you were working"
Which is intended to be a love letter to Scott in which I inform him of the shenanigans his family has been up to while he is hard at work.

Alec and Cali helped themselves to a little snack. Chex anyone?


In all fairness, he did help clean up. Sort of.

Ava Two Months

Weight: 9.7 lbs 25%
Height: 21 1/2 in 25%
Head: 14 3/4 in 25%



At two months she:
Sleeps a 5-6 hour stretch through the night.
Has a daddy daughter date every night from 10-12 where she is topped off with formula.
Has started to smile.
Loves to be snuggled!
Never cries.
Has gas that just about knocks me out.
Brings such a calming peacefulness to our family, especially me.

Look how small her diaper is compared to Alec's.

Mancave Takeover

Scott, today while you are hard at work attempting to pay for your Mancave, Alec and his friends decided to takeover.

They lounged in your theater seats.

Jumped on your theater seats.

Drank some Baby Brewskies.

Viewed the Lion King on your 63" blue ray t.v. in full surround sound.

Basically they had a ball in your Mancave...with a hundred and fifty balls to be exact. Jealous?

New Years

New Years was low key. Scott had some guys over for the Utah football game. I shopped till I dropped. Alec tried some bubbly.

He kept trying to wipe the carbonation off of his tongue.

Ava made some bubbly of her own.

Scott and I learned how to use the self timer on the camera, watched the movie Super 8, made caramel filled chocolate ebelskivers and I even stayed up for the countdown! Well, the New York countdown anyways.

But the best part of the night was when Scott and I reviewed our financial goals for the year and discovered our new retirement plan.

With skills like this, wouldn't you bank on him?
