Lucky FUN

Last week I went to the Fun concert.

When we went to the Bruno Mars concert we saw people who got scalped tickets for a fraction of what we paid for ours.  So we thought we would try our luck for the Fun concert.

By the time we arrived, the parking lots and walkways were bare. 
Aside from the occasional stoners (thanks Coloradoans for making it legal) Even though we had no tickets, we hiked up the long ramp and jokingly/desperately asked the ticket checkers if they had any extra tickets (thinking they would laugh in our face and ask us to leave).  Just our luck, one of the security guards had just the right amount of tickets, and at just the right price...free!

 The concert was so much fun and the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

 

Star sTRUCK

Last weekend we took the kids to the annual Touch-a-Truck.

Clearly just what Scott wanted to do on a Saturday morning.  

Stand in line for 30 minutes on black pavement in the blazing sun just to sit on a stationary bus.  What a good dad!

I need to figure out this kid's language. He is obsessed with garbage trucks, and was so excited when we told him we were going to "operate" one.  When he got there he would not crack a smile, pull the levers, show emotion, or even acknowledge that it was even there.  What the what?! 

Maybe he was a little star struck?

This scrumptious little angel has stolen my heart. I need 3 more girls just like her!

Bronco's Training Camp IV

I guess if they've done it four years in a row, we can officially call going to Bronco's Training Camp a tradition.

Last week we spontaneously went to a Bruno Mars concert with some friends at the Red Rocks.

I wasn't really a fan before his concert, but am definitely one now.

He was SO good and so entertaining!

Neighbors

We have some of the best neighbors!

The Stone's in particular have an amazing garden. And they aren't afraid to share.

On days like today I will get a text stating, "We left you some zucchini and squash on the fence."

 

 I step into my back yard to find these waiting for me.

Great neighbors, one of the many reasons that we over pay to live jam packed to oneanother other!

Two Little Monkeys...

Alec and Ava's favorite thing lately is jumping on our bed.  They love a good pillow fight.

Scott laughs and accuses me of taking out my motherly frustration on them and slamming a pillow or two a little too hard.  

Guilty.

But in all fairness, these crazies can't get enough of it! So isn't it a win-win?

I am proud to report that Alec is potty trained!

Phew!

We rookies thought that it may never happen.

We've repeatedly told Alec that when he goes #2 on the toilet, then we will take him to the new Planes movie.

Little stinker must have a 6th Sense. The movie came out in theaters today, and low and behold and he did his business at 9 o'clock last night. Not a moment too soon!

As promised he went to see Planes with two of his besties today.

 

 He is hilarious.  When talking with him, he acts like he has been potty trained for years.  He cannot believe the nerve that some have to use diapers.  

"Its nasty!" he says.
