While you were working III...

and while I was showering, Alec had himself a good time.
(P.S. At least it was an empty can and the highlighter stayed on his cheeks)

Ava Three Months

(I am obsessed with her tiny nose. I think it is the cutest thing on the planet!)

Our Ava is three months.
She has discovered her hands, which are constantly in her mouth.
Which has resulted in lots of drool.

I have officially dubbed her as the best baby ever!
She has been sleeping through the night for over a month now!
She goes down around 10 and wakes up between 6-7.
We still have her sleeping in her car seat, why mess with a good thing? vvvvvvz (Alec's contribution to the post)

Hates tummy time (just like Alec) but loves to be flat on her back.

She already adores Alec, especially when he gets right up in her face.

So sweet! She barely cries. And when she does, it is only because she needs something, which always has an easy remedy.

Head is still a little wobbly, but loves to be held sitting up like this.

This little girl just gets me and I get her!
LOVE.

While you were working II...

Alec and I played hoops until he sweat.

And Alec stepped up as man of the house and took care of Ava's naked head.
"How dare my sister be seen without a hat!"

Blessing Ava

Since we have no family in Denver, we decided to fly to California for Ava's baby blessing.
We conveniently flew out the weekend before Alec turned two, taking advantage of his and Ava's free flights.

One blizzard, three canceled flights, one jam packed flight and we finally arrived in sunny California. Barely.

The day after we arrived Scott and I left the kids with my mom and took a much needed long lunch at the Panini Place. We ate outside soaking in the 75 degree weather, laughing that our friends and neighbors were most likely digging themselves out of their driveways and streets at that very moment.

My best friend Sheri has a baby girl, Capri, that is a month younger than Ava.
The girls met for the first time and just like their momma's, it was love at first sight!

Yes, you read that correctly. Ava is a month OLDER than Capri.

Proud Papas. Scott & David.
(they used to be besties when they were little kids)

It wouldn't be a trip home without a visit to the beach.
Yeah, he's pretty cool.

Ben's boys Caden and Ashton.
And I thought it was difficult to get a 2 year old to sit still for a picture!

Scott thinks these are the coolest kids. Always dressed in sports paraphernalia.

It was a bit windy so we left Ava with my mom.

We dipped Alec's feet in the water. Needless to say he was not a fan.

From then on out he would not let go of Scott's leg.

The next day we held the blessing in my brother Ben's home. Scott gave a heart warming blessing that I will never forget. I feel so blessed to have this special little spirit in my life and family.

Scott's sister Sena and Chris meeting Ava.

We held the blessing first thing in the morning, went to Sacrament Meeting and then headed back to Ben's home where my Dad and Karen made a delicious brunch.

Such a sweet girl. Ben made the comment that he didn't hear her cry the entire trip!

Alec discovered Gogurts. Now he downs about 4-6 a day.

I am so grateful to Ben & Brandi for opening up their home and creating such a warm environment for the blessing!

Alec was in heaven playing with his older cousins.

After the blessing the hostess with the mostess (Brandi) also had a Super Bowl Party. Here are some of the crew.
Classic Super Bowl pose, everyone is chewing on something.

The next morning it was time to pack up and fly home to chilly Colorado. The trip was way too short. Next time we will have to stay longer than two days!

Exhausted after a fun filled trip.
