Ava Five Months

I feel Ava is starting to become more of a baby and less of an infant.
She is still sleeping through the night from 9:30-6:30ish.
Starting to get on a morning and afternoon nap routine.
Has yet to sleep in her crib...I am starting to re-think my purchase of the second crib.
She is formula fed.
Spits up constantly. Tried every trick and medication, no luck yet.
Loves to lay flat on her back watch the family go by and grab at her toys.
She has rolled completely over a few times, but mostly likes to just roll to her side.
Mostly she is just as sweet as can be and as you can tell by the pictures to follow, she is rarely left alone.

Alec insisted that Ava wear his hat.
(that thing is so nasty, I was worried that she may catch some disease from briefly wearing it)

If these two are awake at the same time, they HAVE to be near each other.
Many times when we get Alec from his crib he will say, "Princess? Princess? Princess!" Until he finds her.

Last night we went to Wicked.
Charming. Loved It. Recommend It.

Bouncing Babies

The Smith kids sure do love their bouncers.

Easter Sunday

I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to spend forever with these people!

We had fun scrambling while using the self timer on the camera in order to get a family photo.

Love my little princess girl!

And so does Alec. He is going through a phase where he will ONLY kiss Ava.

While you were working IV...

The kids were my Sous Chefs.

Alec taught Ava a few tricks. Hmmm, do you think they're related?

Ava caught up on her Soaps while Alec napped.

Or so we thought he was napping.
Creepy eyes looking directly into the monitor.

Instead of napping, Alec found other uses for his teddy bear. This is what his room looked like when I walked in.

Dining Room

Our dining room furniture finally came in a few months ago. While I still have a few finishing touches to add, you can still get the idea.

Here is a BEFORE. This is what time room looked like with the previous owners.

Here are some AFTERS. After a major Scott and Heidi overhaul. And by that I mean painting. And by painting I mean we had our painter come in and paint. That's as far as we tend to go with renovations.

I am not crazy (I hate) the chandelier.
But for the time being it will work, especial with the dark picture of the temple and the curtain rod.

As you can see by the picture below, I got the side chairs to coordinate with the chairs that are in our kitchen nook.
That way when we add our table extenders, we will be able to seat 12 people.

I have a few more items left on my list to purchase to complete the room. Such as nic-nacs and these:

April Fools

Yesterday morning I was reminded that April Fools was right around the corner. While I don't consider myself to be a prankster, I did think of a great unoriginal prank. I took a quick trip to the grocery store and paid $7 for a pregnancy test. I then stopped by my sweet friend's house who actually happens to be pregnant and asked her to take a quick potty break. And just like that I had myself a false positive pregnancy test for my poor sweet unsuspecting husband.

It was a classic 5 minutes. Poor guy just about had a heart attack! That was until I told him that the silver lining in the situation was that it was April 1st and that I really was NOT pregnant! His eyes actually watered with tears of joy/relief.

Such a good sport.
Aside from the 5 minutes of sheer panic, it was a harmless prank that has given us a good laugh all day.

Disclaimer: We would be thrilled at ANY time to have a new addition to our family. And we so admire our family and friends that have the patience of Job and are able to have their kids so close together. What fun!
