Non-Traditional Anniversary

Last year I did a post about how every year we do the same thing for our anniversary, see here.
This year we completely broke that tradition. I am one of those people who has to celebrate something on the actual day of. However, this year we had a bit of a scheduling conflict, so we started off by celebrating a day early.

Scott hates it when I say that he is predictable; however, I will say that I was predicting that he was going to come home from work with flowers. So it was a nice surprise when he had them delivered to the house in the middle of the day instead.

We had to forgo sealings at the temple this year due to renovations, so we got a sitter and headed straight to dinner.

In the spirit of breaking tradition, we decided not to go to Flemings and instead ate at a quaint little restaurant in Sedelia. The atmosphere was darling and the old historic building was intriguing, however the food didn't quite hit the spot. After eating the first few courses, we pre-paid for the entire meal and headed straight to our safe spot, Flemings! Where we had to confess to our waiter that we had cheated on them, and as a result we weren't completely hungry, so we would be splitting a meal.

We finished off with their divine chocolate cake. It is honestly the best thing on the planet!

What a difference a year makes! Last year we were new parents to one child, and now this year we are a couple of months away from being parents of two! Being pregnant and parents, our relationship has definitely shifted and morphed into something completely new and different, which is both a little scary and exciting.
